The only things I miss from the so called Industry standard is the audio routing and wave form change when adding or subtracting gain..Other than that Sonar has been rock solid for me.That is pretty much it.Not missed a beat switching over to Sonar after 2 decades of the "big one".

My wishes are fairly simple... stability and consistency. I have grown weary of treading on land mines, then wasting the time to find out what caused them.

1-improved CCC
2-a simple or automatic way to extract a tempo chart from an audio track
3-no more updates that would make a perfectly running and rock solid function either unstable and/or unusable

I'll second MarioD's as well.

1: I would like an internal audio editor.
2: CCC including multi install, plus bug reports.
3: Possibly a "master" suite.
But I am happy with Splat as is

Unless I am not understanding - you CAN create a tempo map from an audio track, using Audio Snap.

Project section markers along the lines of Logic Pro - a track where you can block out sections of the project (e.g. verse, chorus, intro etc) and shift them around to change the arrangement with all the relevant parts of all tracks moving in sync.

A better interface for control surfaces than ACT, ideally with tablet apps available as well. Touch screens may (or may not) be the future, but even if they become common a remote controller is always useful.

Make it possible to save per-project preferences such as sending MIDI clock as part of a template. It gets tedious having to open prefs and tick a whole bunch of boxes every new project.

Yes I know.  The key words were simple or automatic.  I have played with Audio Snap in the past and found it difficult to use.  Have things changed?

1) Improve Staff View (could we have some of the recent love that went into PRV . . . into Staff View)
2) Fix Audiosnap, (when I use it, it crashes, so now I don't)
3) Something to "proof" a project for online audio publishing
