It was broken for me in X3 - I can't remember which version of patch was installed, and haven't played with tempo changes since ;-)

I've been having puzzling display lags in a project with nothing but audio, no vst, no envelope, no fx inserts.    Suddenly had the bright idea to eliminate all tempo changes, which were still there from the project's midi beginnings, and suddenly all is fast and sweet again.   
 
Might be time to address this one!

 Yeah, "suddenly"... like right after you read my post that tempo changes might be causing it.  This thread got bumped precisely because I linked it in your other thread.
