Good thread! I'm going to do some research. And YES, if someone made a video of computer how to's for audio, I'd buy it and any updates that follow. For those of us who don't go into the dark depths of our DAW computers, something like this would be invaluable.

Hey, Jim... that balanced load looks very sexy...amazing!   my win7 system load sharing just sucks... upgrade to 10 is now a high priority for me.  This hasn't really been a performance problem until now... my  i7-4930 was robust enough, although Diva sometimes causes hiccups.   But with some recent additions, like Infinity it's becoming much easier to overload the first core and bring things to a halt.  Your graph is great news... a likely reprieve till intel gets around to more cores...someday...

Yup. Turn off Intel speed step (AMD equivalent is power now?)  and/or Windows core parking.




 Is that what it is?  I upgraded an AMD system that has the UEFI Bios. There's a lot more in that then Core2/AM3 boards.
