I'm seeking a good parametric EQ that's hopefully not too complicated, opinions please.

Thanks - rev

Why not the LP-64 EQ?

You really don't need a parametric for most things, btw. It's not always the best choice.

It's down to personal preference really. I like LP-64 EQ and UAD Precision EQ or sometimes Pultec Pro. Izotope Ozone and the one built into the Prochannel FX are pretty good too.

I like the Fab Filter Pro Q - http://www.fabfilter.com/products/pro-q-2-equalizer-plug-in
It's not cheap, but it's hard to see how you would need any other EQ, unless you want a 'colouring' one. It's simple to use but with a lot of options so it grows in line with your needs.

Having said that, the Sonitus EQ that comes with Sonar is perfectly capable (if a bit ugly and lacking a spectrum analyser) and people say good things about the ProChannel EQ, if you're happy with the ProChannel workflow.

LP-64 works for me.  It's my personal choice.

How about the BT PEQ332 parametric equalizer from Nomad Factory?
Best of luck.

I like the QuadCurve EQ because I need all the curves it offers.

You are after a (fully formed) curve eq?

There are actually very few ways to make an EQ, and very little to distinguish between them, especially once you're in the digital domain. "Best" is a far less useful concept in this area than "the one I intuitively understand how to operate the most".

Yes. That may be the question better stated. I need to look at a few and see which ones I get along with.
