I removed your picture because it showed your SN. Black it out and resubmit.  I am sorry for this.

Thanks - short sighted of me.

You were only trying to be helpful. And you were.

No splash screen to say it's loading. Still taking too long to load in standalone...2nd time almost immediate though.

Yep, first time it took an age and white screened on me, 2nd time it was a lot quicker and no WSOD.

The new Factory sounds are pretty freaking awesome!

I guess it takes a while to load all of the new stuff, plus the old Dim Pro AND Rapture packs, of which I have several

I think the load time is the same deal as when you press F5 on Rapture and it scans all your expansion packs. It can take a long time if you have a lot of packs.

First load time after update installation was less than 3 seconds in standalone mode (with 17 Exp. Packs).
Just wanted to share my positive experience.

Best,
Klaus

Further notes to add to #9 (as reported on the other thread in the instrument forums), I managed to get the hung note issue in Maschine once, it does seem better though. Startup time still not good, annoying whiteouts when loading VST in Maschine and Sonar (it does not crash however so it's just annoying). No startup Splash screen to ease the pain in standalone (sometimes you wonder if you actually started the app or not). So not liking the scanning behaviour when starting up (assuming this is the cause).

They really need a dedicated form/tab for settings such as file paths (see #9). Why can't I see a setting to change the sample rate in the standalone UI for instance ?(the shortcut keys method is too complex and messy).

I haven't fully tested but it appears the volume across the programs appears more normalized as a whole.
It's a positive step forward but I still feel it needs more work (check this post and #9). Would be nice if Cakewalk could confirm there is another update in the works.

Another thing I discovered in standalone - more amusing than annoying right now....
If I click the search text box and type something in, the "computer keyboard" should be clever enough to work out that I don't need it to be playing when I'm typing in text, sadly it isn't .
