According to the blurb, it uses ARA, so at best it could work in Studio One and Tracktion which, to the best of my knowledge, are the only other DAWs supporting ARA right now. But I would guess the license will be tied to SONAR at least for the short term.

I suspect it will be treated much like quadcurve. It's something to give Platinum a USP.

Whist I am at it I wish we could get a VST for quadcurve and updated Sonitus plugins... Oh well...

Just remember all you pros out there working with customers. This will be a FIRST release, the first month you should be evaluating it, the fixes come the next month (hopefully). If we are very lucky it will work right first time.

I would guess is highly unlikely as CW plugs are usually locked to a certain SONAR version (or better). This feature is coming online so that even Professional/Artist users are locked out with the same version.

I think it will work more like Audio Snap than as a plugin per se. That is, it will be part of the Sonar Code, not an add on that can be purchased separately. But at this time only the bakers know.

No, it will not be available for sale as a VST. Part of the charm of Drum Replacer is the tight integration with SONAR. We didn't want it to be a VST plugin for that reason.
