Exclusive Solo is even easier if you simply comparing one track to another.

Indeed, which I think is what was meant in the original post, all those years ago, when Exclusive Solo didn't exist.

Ahhh... How things change (improve) over time

I am still watching video tutorials. When I finish, I hope to be able to grasp what I will be reading in the manual. At the moment, it is still mostly Greek....

"... read the manual ..."  That's funny.  Why have a forum then?

Cool tip BTW

Q. What's a "power user"?
A. Someone who reads the manual.

I think life changed for the better when manuals became electronic, so that you could search for terms. But then the issue became knowing the terms you needed to search on

I must be a huge power user then! I stopped reading literature some years back and started reading manuals exclusively. I like both hard copy and electronic manuals.

Ditto John.

I actually took time out last year to read Stephen Donaldson's "Last Chronicles" and my wife asked me how long it was since I last read a novel.

I had to think, and it was about 10 years ago.

On one level, that's disgraceful. I was an avid reader when I was younger (pre-studio)

Thanks Cake

Very glad to learn about the Exclusive Solo option.
Thank you both for the excellent tip.
For me, it was the Elusive Solo.....   sorry...I'll get back to work now.

I've used this technique alot. I saw a post for same thing awhile back and tried it out. Great tip. It was worth saying. Sometimes these little things are what make work flow so much better.

Very helpful.

By the way, the big weakness with the Help and the Manual is that they are too cryptic.  Example: "Click on the Track Manager icon."  OK, where is it and what does it look like?  <<Just an example: you don't have to answer.
