HI! Anyone get Izotope Nectar to work as a plug-in in Sonar x1 32 bit? The stand alone works fine, but I cannot for the life of me get the vst plug-in to work soI can use the manuel pitch editor.

Anyone have success with this? What am I doing wrong?

Thanks in advance!

Yeah. it loads fine, but it doesn't do anything. It doesn't even pick up the audio signal. I can't see any routing failures, and my other vst plugins (Stylus for example) work fine. The stand alone works like a charm, cool effects.

Nectar crashed my Sonar Producer 8. Doesn't crash with X1 but can't get the VST to do more than open. It doesn't capture.. nothing.

Nectar Support Notes
Manual Pitch Correction Host Support Manual pitch editing in Nectar is not supported in the DirectX version. In addition, manual pitch editing requires the host application provide robust support for reporting transport location to plug-ins but not all hosts provide this information. Download the demo and try it in your favorite host.
Hosts that do not support manual pitch correction can still use automatic pitch correction and all of the other features of Nectar.

Found on that link.

I'm pretty sure manual pitch correction on Nectar does not work in Sonar X1

windsurfer nailed it. If you try to run manual pitch correcter, it'll specifically tell you that you can't use it in Sonar.

FWIW, I've heard that jbridge can get it to run right. I bought jbridge just for this purpose, but it still doesn't work for me.. =(

Arrrrg.. I never got that message.. only that I could run it if I was using the VST plug in and not the stand alone.. so typical.. Another reason to consider Logic!!!

Thank guys!

weird, the izotope plugs detected sonar on mine. Still doesn't work though ;)

I had it working on SONAR X2 for a half a day. I left it for an hour and it hasn't worked since. I moved it back into audio VST and it crashes Cakewalk now. I am searching for answers. Might reload Nectar as a last resort.

Nectar installs a mono and stereo version. If there's a mismatch (e.g. inserting a stereo instance on a mono track) it doesn't do anything, even though the plugin GUI appears.

Worth checking?

There have been several updates to Nectar since the days of X1, make sure you're running the latest. I can't recall if I was using it back in X1 days, but it's been working fine for me as long as I can remember. I must admit, though, I haven't used it all that much since X3...the VX-64/Melodyne combo works really well.

I don't know if there are any special upgrade deals from X1 these days, but  SONAR has come a long way since then.
