I have successfully ripped an audio CD using PAC. However, I cannot burn a disc. When I try to burn a disc, PAC indicates that there is no disc inserted in the drive and advises me to close the drive door. However, there IS a disc in the drive, and the door IS closed. I can burn the disc with no problem using Windows Media Player. What am I doing wrong with PAC?

Has anyone here successfully burned a CD using PAC 1.5.2?

Hi There -
I have 1.5.0
I picked it up a while ago at a significant discount and have never tried to actually burn anything (with it) yet. But I figured I would give it a try to answer your question.
It seems to burn fine. I used an HP DVD burner to burn an HP lightscribe CD at 52 times speed - the CD burned a single track in under a minute, and I was able to play back the same CD just fine both in mediaplayer and in a portable CD player.
This is a Windows 8 Pro - 64 bit system.

Hope this helps - Does Audio Creator see your CD burner?

PAC can see the CD/DVD drive, and it can correctly tell whether or not there is recordable media in the drive as indicated by the message bar in the burn window. When I press "burn disc," however, the popup message appears suggesting that the drawer is not closed, or that there is no disc in the drive. T The drive is a Plextor PX-L890SA, and the OS is Windows 7 64-bit.

I guess the standard first step would to be be sure you have the latest drivers installed
