I have absolutely no idea what this thread is about
I'm glad it's not just me then.
OK before I say another word , here's a pic of a miner
The more I say , the deeper the Hole I may dig ,,...When has that ever stopped me ..
OK both Einstein and Hendrix are (or were insanely ) creative people ...
Using their "G given talents " each of them both worked very hard flying under the radar for many years .
Having read and listened too much of their work I have come to respect both of these men very deeply for very different reasons .
They both paid some hard core dues that took decades to pay and the world is a better place because of their contributions .
Einstein while using science and math not only offered society as a whole his large body of trailblazing work ,he also had a very "u nuke "
(Unique ) grasp on how the mind works on an intuitive level .
It is a well known speculation that he certainly made it clear he felt the imagination was very important .
Jimi on the other hand took a fricking guitar nobody even wanted to play .A Fender Strat and he turned it into The Legendary Excalibur of all Guitars
...
Jimi was insanely creative , how he took a cowboy guitar and the way he got it to affect all the molecules of the air while he was playing was amazing IMHO. The Guitar has never sounded like that before his arrival on the music scene . His groundbreaking sounds make him the first guitar synthesizer player as far as I'm concerned ...
Now you ask Kenny what the hell does this have to do with this thread and topic ?
It is my humble opinion that both Science and The Arts can hold the doorway to unlimited personal creative expressions and growth depending on who is exhibiting the courage to dream the dream
To dream the dream fully and too walk the walk regardless of the road , be it a dirt road or a highway not only benefits the individual whom is in the process of engaging in the activity , it also benefits society as a whole ...
I find it too be an act of personal empowerment and liberation to claim my right to engage in my creative pursuit's .
No matter how silly or strange the act of performing them may appear to others
While I am claiming these pursuit's and while living my dream I'm engaged in actively living my story during my own rather small yet epic journey through this life .
When I get to meet and interact with insanely creative people due to the laws of attraction these get together s charge my soul and gives me hope that tomorrow could be a better day
The spoken word is also the written word .
When one takes the time to write down their thoughts and experiences the word lives again in the moment .
An attribute of the spoken word can involve trust where the reader allows the writer to mold their thoughts and emotions as the reader is reading ...interestingly enough when a person commits their thoughts to writing the spoken word , those words get to live again and again and again .
Often times the words are brought forth long after the author is gone ...ex..Shakespeare , Poe , Twain ,
IMHO , their words and story's are what the future generations of people may find as an Oasis providing a resource for their literary sustenance and connection to those that have lived before .
The same can be said of any form of creativity that has been committed to a transitional form where it may lie as a seed containing all the essential elements that can be read again , performed again , spoken or fill in the blank .
Back to this what has this have to do with anything ?
When I saw the movie Avatar I loved the insane creativity of the sets and places they used , also the creatures .
The story line was OK but the overall creativity of creating the world depicted in the film was awsome ...
Man that stuff was not there by accident . somebody or a whole group of somebodies got together and thought that up .
FWIW, My feeling is I like to investigate and learn from a more wide open approach to creativity when possible ..
There are plenty of clues out there if I want to see them ...
With Einstein , he seemed to let his mind play in a scientific type of playground .
With Hendrix , he seemed to favor a more intuitive feel and vibe type of playground ...
The whole question here is this ...what type of creative world would you like to live your dreams in ?
A scientific fact based world or the it feels great in the moment type of world because I have let go of my musical inhibitions
I am asking these questions I posed because a persons imagination is very powerful .
With out even leaving the room a person can travel too far away places and do things they would not be able to do if they took life only at face value .....
I did play a lot of imaginary Strat's Tele's and Les Paul's for years before I ever got my grimy paws on one
Anyway for the record I hate to be the bearer of bad news here ...
Kenficous say ,
If one approaches their music and life as a bean counter . It is very possible that their music will only rise to the highest level of bean counter music .
all the best,
Kenny
