If I had a crit it would be to say that the guitar under the vocal is perhaps a little busy, elsewhere fine nice play but under the verses sorry.

Really? I loved the music. I liked the words even more though. It's just a good song period.

You should shop this around in Nashville Billy. Or at least play it out next time you're down there. I bet someone would be interested in it. It's more of a blues song, but it could be done in any style and the lyrics have a country feel to them.

What a treat!  This is an absoflippinlutely terrific song.  A song that tells a story, has a touch of history, demonstrates good vocal delivery, and some doggone good acoustic guitar playing.  The language was perfect in telling the story.  I really enjoyed this.  Great work Bill!!!

I'm not hearing no apologies for any of it. Sorry for the double negative.

Guitar is great for the "one off" and I especially liked the extended jam towards the end. Lyrics are killer. I wouldn't polish it up too much, really. Vocals are good and have the vibe you need, so no worries there. You are a folk artist with a sense of humor and depth that most don't have. You might look up a guy named Jim Page. It's a winning combination to have.

cheers,

Well done Bill, there is a nice meter to the words. The way you delivered some of the lyrics has that Paul Simon vibe of singing speech. Enjoyed this one.

This is a well done and written 1+1 on guitar. Recording and mix is excellent and sounds very intimate, as if I were in the bar listening to it.

Friking cool!!! just one comment (JUST ME) On the intro and on.... If feels like the lead gtr is rushed. I think it would be more interesting and pull one in if the lead gtr was more laid back and not rushed.

Peace!

I enjoyed the song - impressive lyrics.  I liked the acoustic guitar in the mix - sounded like you were playing right in front of me.  In this song - your voice reminded me of Waylon Jennings - it sounded cool.
