  • Any point installing Splat after CbB

I've installed CbB and have it working with most of the extra products I've purchased from my Cakewalk products page over the past few years. Is there any advantage to installing Splat over the top? In other words, are there any additions that would be installed that would add functionality to my install of CbB. Is it even possible, and could it create problems if it was possible?

This table should help you answer that question

If anything you should install Splat before CdB

Thanks Paul, the table helps with what is and isn't bundled with the various versions. Some plugs like the LP compressor and EQ I already have as a separate download so that's ok. I also have the full versions of Breverb, TH3, Addictive Drums and Keys, and Melodyne, so that's ok too. I do miss the Blue Tube plugs (did I read somewhere that they were given to Cakewalk members as a free download but I'm not sure) but most else I can live without, although not having TTS is a shame.
Your right Jonesy I should have installed Splat first, but I was too exited to try a fresh install of CbB. Still not sure whether I can install Splat over the top of CbB. Any else tried this.

TTS should be already installed with your CakeLab.

Install SONAR Platinum and then install CbB again.

Simples.

You may be able to install just that plugin bundle from ccc. I’m not 100% sure if it will recognize the license without SPlat being installed but worth a try.

I am still able to use the Blue Tube plugs in Cakewalk by Bandlab.

As has been suggested, install Sonar platinum first then Cakewalk by Bandlab.  However, don't forget to also install "Studio Mixing FX Suite" as this contains the Nomad Blue tubes that come with Sonar.

This is still available in CCC (This still works as of April 23 2018) or from this page:

https://www.cakewalk.com/My-Account/Product/CSPT100

I don't think they were ever given away to Sonar Platinum users.  I believe they were at one stage, however, offered at a heavy discount to Sonar Platinum users.  Not sure if that is still the case.  Maybe if you ask Nomad nicely.

I think I tried it on a virgn CbB machine and on some plugs (not AD2 or Melodyne) IIRC it says I don't have the right version (of the host) installed.
