I overwhelmingly use the "pure" mode, and very occasionally the "hybrid" mode if I need narrower cuts (which I fins to be a rare situation).

I completely get what the idea of the different modes is, in that it emulates what might be familiar behaviour from consoles (or plug-in emulations of those consoles), but I don't really think in those kinds of terms.

Side question: any know if there's a way of changing which of the four modes it defaults to?

This would be nice to know (if it is possible, just for the knowledge)

I mostly use the G type, or the hybrid or sometimes pure if I need to reduce resonant peaks or similar "surgical" cutting.

It's all just wobbly lines to me. I make it a bit more wobbly, then go back and make it a bit less wobbly and then usually leave it that. Sometimes I press the gloss button even though it doesn't seem to make any difference, but somedays I just like pressing butttons.

Thank you for starting my day with a laugh!

On a more serious note, I asked because I wondered if it might be worth writing an article about why one would use certain curves in certain applications. It seems like that might be a good idea. I also like the idea of preset EQ settings, I did a bunch of presets for acoustic guitar that were included in one of the updates but it might be a good idea to do more. Unfortunately it's not possible to load presets for only the EQ, you have to do the whole ProChannel.

Having presets for the Quadcurve eq sounds like a worthy feature request.

True, but it would give us starting points to tweak the EQ and replace the PC modules with ones that we normally use, then rename them.

I usually just start with the Hybrid EQ engaged, get my settings to where they sound good, then flip through the other EQ models to see if one sounds better than the one I started with.  If it made more sense to use the different EQ models for specific applications, that would be helpful to understand and just start out in that mode.
