I'm not sure that's right. Music Creator is $49.99 and it may be that upgrading from Sonar Le to Artist is also $49.99 (if it counts as having a Sonar Version)

Your right! Because I have a registered copy of LE, the upgrade price is - AU$  59.00 that's great news
 
I'll do that and see how I get on.
 
Q: Will I be able to install it on my laptop as well as my PC?

You may install any Cakewalk DAW on both your laptop and PC. The only restriction is you may not run the software on both machines at the same time.
