Hello,

I'm using Sonar Platinum for live performances and I would like to switch between different VST instruments on the fly. A simple way is to change track focus with a mouse, but I believe there should be a way to do it remotely with a midi keyboard. Changing midi channel on a keyboard doesn't help because i need to do it really quickly, i need some kind of shortcut when a button on a keyboard immediately makes a track / plugin active. Could anyone help me with a solution?

Thanks,
Nick.

To avoid bad experience on stage, I recommend triple test that it works as expected and do not change plug-in version till you have a reason. Also I would recommend to use separate device (or separate MIDI device as seen by Windows, in case your board support it).

With that plug-in, you can create any possible direct mapping: focus particular track, open/close GUI for particular VST (Synth or FX) and map knobs/encoders to particular parameter (the result is close to MIDI learn). But be prepared to invest some time to learn how to configure all that.
