Hi. Did you try to do a vst reset, and then scan again?
Best of luck.

Do you mean the original, 32 bit only Vocalizer? I still have it installed but never use it- no issues in any of mys resets/scans though. When I  get back to my daw I'll try it out to confirm. One thing that come to mind though is that it uses PACE interlock software - i had to update my pace driver way back when to get it to run. The guys at sonnivox were completely oblivious to this as an issue. If the reset/rescan doesn't work, might want to google for the latest pace driver update to see if that resolves it.

I finally gave up on Vocalizer. I had hassles with authorization that were unresolved, and I just couldn't seem to get any reasonable technical support (and I have pretty low expectations for most technical support).

Ultimately, I shelved it (I have Vocalizer Pro). Instead, I went to imagine-line and bought Vocodex. It's a straight forward Vocalizer, but has some nice tweaks. And I runs reliably, which is more than I can ever say for Vocalizer.

It's probably not the answer you wanted to hear, but if your experience is anything like mine, write it off and move along. It's the only VST I abandoned before devs did.

I'll try to re-install it and see if I can get anywhere with it (again)...since the weather is nice and I'm in a good mood. :-D

Likewise - I picked up MVocoder which I am very happy with. But I always liked Vocalizer more for its non-vocoder features - it was wonderful on pads which were effected by drum loops. Gave the pads a nice rhythm nothing else did as well. I never upgraded to Vocalizer Pro because the Sonivox guys - well...
This thread has me motivated to retry it though

Vocalizer Sonar Setup
http://www.sweetwater.com/sweetcare/articles/how-do-i-get-sonivox-vocalizer-working-in-sonar/
Make sure to reboot the computer after the Vocalizer install, then follow these steps (if you even care to waste time with this plugin anymore)
  1. run vocalizer.exe
  2. click "Authorize" (the window will close, so check TaskManager to see it's runing)
  3. Sonar> Utilities> PluginManager> scan VST plugins
  4. when scan gets to "Vocalizer.dll" the vocalizer Authorization widow will open
    • Click Authorize > Manual Activation > Save License File
    • Save this file to your computer’s hard drive
    • contact sonivox support to get your license key
    • Once your email is received, you will be emailed back an authorized license file that you will load by launch the software > select Manual Activation > Read License File.
    • you will need to follow steps 1-3 again, when scan gets to "Vocalizer.dll" the vocalizer Authorization widow will open select Manual Activation > Read License File.

Is there a question there somewhere? Where are you getting held up? If I recall correctly I got the license key in the Vocalizer box without any physical media.

Thank you for pointing it out- I do not have it in my synth list and it does not show up anywhere. I can open freestanding version from the drive... For some reason it is invisible for Sonar scan.

This is weird. I moved .dll file from one folder in to another and the scan detected it, saying- I have 1 ne wplugin. So I was almost happy, but then it still did not show up anywhere.

If you are talking about the older 32 bit Vocalizer (the non-Pro version), I think you may need to go into the plugin control panel, find it and change it to be a synth.  Then add it from the Instruments list to the FX section on an audio track and create a MIDI track that points to it.  At least that seems to work for me, before I did this I couldn't find it in my Instruments list, only my effects list.

I got it a while back (with the Dubstep bundle) but never really used it very much.  I'm not even sure I ever configured it for use in Sonar at all (since I had to do the configure as synth thing just now).  I also had to turn the volume up on the Primary Voice (it was set to 0db).  It was already authorized but I did that outside of Sonar in it's stand alone mode.
