I am trying to understand the Prochannel EQ. It is available for each individual audio channel, which means it is not just for the Master output, right? I am using it on Instrument track (frozen Session Drummer audio) if it makes any difference from regular audio track.
 
The issue is- I don't hear any changes. I guess "transparent" is great, but I hear no changes at all. I am trying to decrease low end on a drum track and high end of HH "ts ts ts ts". I am making drastic wide changes in the EQ curves, lowering Gain all the way down on lows and highs and... I don't hear that much. Yes, I can see the blue "Power" light is on, so EQ supposed to be on, but not much changing. Also what in the world are "Hybrid". "Pure", E-Type and G-Type? I do not remember changing them individually, yet each shows different amount of highs and lows changes. I thought it was simple EQ- what am I doing wrong? Thank you.
 

Do you have the track PC on?  in the upper header strip of the PC of each channel, there's a button in the right corner, it needs to be blue.

Usually when a track is frozen the ProChannel gets turned off. In addition to the blue button for the EQ, make sure the power button at the top of the ProChannel is blue.

Yep, it was the top button. I thought I did see all of them blue... Thank you very much. So I have to check all channels now? I am thinking I have EQs set up everywhere, and they not even on!
 
Now confusing part: when I adjust Hybrid, all others get adjusted. The article says- Hybrid is good for drums, for example, and E type is good for drums. So let's say- I want to use E-type and I lower highs and lows- why is the Hybrid and others change too? Does it affect the sound? Looks like it is the same adjustments but 4 different views and way to do it. If they were independent, changing one would not affect the other. So do they all active at the same time, or only one that selected? Thanks.
 
 

The QuadCurve EQ emulates vintage analog EQs, which had interactions among bands. This also happens with "surgical" digital EQ, because frequency response changes are curves that affect a wide range of frequencies. If the curves of two EQs overlap, they will affect each other.
 
"Pure" is probably the most analog of the bunch, reminds me of the old school Pultec equalizers.

I have reported on this forum making very extreme EQ changes in ProChannel sometimes with no audible effect.  I had to insert an EQ in the FX bin because ProChannel EQ did nothing.  (This just happened sometimes, not always.)

The latter. The quad channel eq provides four different 'flavours' of equalisers with differing behaviours, from which you can select one, but only one, per channel. Think of it as a hardware analogue mixer with the equaliser section on each track and bus a socket for a plug-in eq circuit board. You can choose which of four different eq circuit boards you want to plug in to each channel/bus.

I think it is still one EQ. If it had different flavors, changing one would not affect the other. As it states- different algorithm to do the same thing, not one at a time but all at a time- just different view of the same. Change one and other will change too.

SONAR bounces the synth’s audio data to the synth track. SONAR disables the synth’s output, and disables the FX Rack on the synth track.

 
As I understand it any reference to the FX rack includes the PC, hence you won't hear any difference as it is disabled. Unfreeze the track, adjust as required and then re-freeze to make EQ (or any other FX) adjustment.
 
EDIT: For clarity.... you can turn the EQ back on but any previous adjustments have been applied so you won't necessarily be hearing exactly what you expect to hear. I hope that makes sense.
