I have noticed some strange behaviors in Sonar Platinum's Everett and the new Rapture pro and Dimension Pro. First IK Multimedia's Sampletron is no longer recognized in Sonar Platinum. Before Everett it worked fine now I get a prompt saying that it is not installed properly. After a reinstall, I still get the prompt. It worked fine in standalone mode. Speaking of standalone, both Rapture Pro and Dimension Pro will now only work using 44.1 with the ASIO in my MOTU 896 MkIII interface with the synths in standalone. I generally use 96 until dithering the final mixdown. Within Sonar, Dim Pro seems to be all right but Rapture Pro has been hanging up (sustained notes, which was supposed to be a fix in Everett), crashes and occasionally being incapable of playing sounds either on the supplied keyboard or my master hardware keyboards (Roland A50 and NI KK S61). I like the idea of the monthly updates with the Sonar subscription, but Everett has turned out to be a problem for me. In addition Rapture Pro still takes an awfully long time time to load when called up within Sonar and in standalone. In fact, it seems like it takes longer to load projects lately with the last couple updates. Any ideas outside of a rollback? Thanks for any replies.

It seems like you're talking about the new Rapture Pro synth?

In which case yes, there have been a few problems with it and I believe Cakewalk are currently working on a fix.

Check the cakewalk instrument forums all being discussed. The sample rate issue is a bit odd, try Reseting and THEN rescanning your vst's. Then updating your interfaces firmware and drivers. Also try running Sonar as admin.

There is a pretty lengthy thread about old 32bit IK products http://forum.cakewalk.com/FindPost/3230408
It appears the synths require SONAR to run as administrator.

I would suggest questions specifically about RPro be discussed in the Cakewalk Instruments area.

I do not believe there have been any changes to the microihost, DPro or RPro. The sample rate for each microhost is stored in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Cakewalk Music Software\microHost by synth. I have not tried it myself but you could try running the stand alone synths as administrator and see what happens.

The microhost key functions are
ESC: All Notes Off
F1/F2: Open/Close z3ta+ Editor (mainly for testing purposes)
F3: Set to 44100
F4: Set to 48000
Shift+F3: Set to 88200
Shift+F4: Set to 96000
F5: Transpose -12
F6: Transpose -1
F7: Transpose +1
F8: Transpose +12
F11/F12: Previous/Next Program
Left/Right arrows: Bend down/up
Up arrow: CC1
Down arrow: CC2
Space bar: Aftertouch

Running Sonar Plat as Admin seems to have solved all the problems while using the abovementioned problem synths within a project in Sonar. Thanks for the replies. The Rapture Pro and Dim Pro are still acting up in standalone, though, even loading as Admin. I will direct these issue to the proper topic. Thanks again to those who replied.
