I just found the Video from Zo, and it can help with organising the ProChannels in the drop down box.

By adding 1) to the full names of al the VKFX, for example '1) VKFX Phaser' and '1) VKFX Delay', they now appear at the the list and not clutter the bottom as the do now.

Thinking this through I may rename all the PCs, and number in a way that makes sense to me.

1) Delay and Modulation FX
2) Reverb
3) Distortion, Saturation and Amps
4) Compressors
5) Equalisers
1) Delay and Modulation FX2) Reverb3) Distortion, Saturation and Amps4) Compressors5) Equalisers

I think if you re-scan VSTs the registry Inventory might get reset, so you should export the registry key and save the renamed stuff as a backup.

Ah too late. BTW, this isn't renaming the files, but the display name from within the files, so I don't see an issue.

Just went through and set up with FX at the bottom, as displs from the top down (I think it used to display from the bottom up)

1) Reverb
2) Distortion, Saturation and Amps
3) Compressors
4) Equalisers
5) Delay and Modulation FX

There is no issue. I was just saying that all those REGEDITS will get lost and re-generated when you do a VST scan.
Or, maybe, just when you do a VST RESET.
But in any case, I would export the Inventory key from the registry and save the .reg file somewhere.
You can edit the .reg file with notepad and just save the parts that you changed, not the whole key. In other words, delete most of the stuff, just keep the name parts.

Thanks for posting this :)
Anyone know how to bring the FX Chain to the top of list? Can't see it in the Reg. list anywhere and mine is at bottom and PC list which is off my screen.

Thanks

It's probably a built-in function in Sonar, not actually a plug-in or VST, so it's probably fixed in last place.

My list is pretty long and I need to scroll to get it, so it would be nice to have a way to resize the list, like the way VST plug-in are listed.
