The reason I would save the edited parts only (the name changes, not the other VST-like data) is so that when you do a RESET, you can merge those changes in the registry without changing any important re-scanned info.

For example, in an update to Sonar, a Prochannel parameter may change, so you need to reset them.
You won't want to merge the entire Inventory registry data - that would re-write old data over the changes, but you would like to change the descriptive names again.

yeah it always sat at the bottom, so wasn't effected by Numerical Alpha order, so renaming it would achieve anything.

I'm much happier with this new layout.

All OK. Got the video up.

Watch out though as the plugs can be listed more than once, so you can be changing the name for the wrong one. I had Sonar open, so I could check the changes as I went along.

Just realised I couldn't see the VKFX rotary type FX which I found was the 'PreAmp Stereo Tremelo', but the Prochannel is just called 'PreAmp'. Good to rename that as Tremelo, as it would be it's main use for me. Dropped all the VKFX from the names too, as the gold makes that clear enough

I noticed that. For example Saturation Knob appears twice, one in the Internal folder and one in Internal/Softube.
Both are identical so I deleted the older file and the registry entry.
It looks like, perhaps, an update put things in the wrong place.

Yeah it's weird because I've only installed the VKFX recently and once, but they were there twice. The ones that seemed to be in the Prochannel weren't the ones next to the other types that were in the Prochannel. It's a little over the place. I kept everything though because I don't know enough.

Thanks. I had gone back and managed to get the video large enough to see the key in question. I remember back when Zo did that video.

This work around isn't really much help as I have 28 plugins in the list. On a 24" monitor @ 1920x1080 resolution I can see 20 PC plugs vertically. That excludes all of the VKFX.

I'm on the same res, I set it up so the some of VKFX and the Panipulator were at the bottom, so off my screen. At least this is more intuitive, so when I do want those, I know exactly where to look. Makes me more aware of the options too. It's not ideal but a step in the right direction.
