I launched Platinum from the command center, the method that supposedly activates and authorizes SONAR.  But after a reboot, I start SONAR without the CC and it says it is loaded in demo mode.  What gives and how do I get my copy of Platinum PERMANENTLY authorized and activated?

Somebody please reply to my post, I have the same problem, my sonar moved in demo mode, I tried offline activation, reset sonar and command center but nothing helped.I wrote a letter in support my case number 157994.

i used CCC and have had SOnar revert to demo on a couple of occasions too. It has happened during playback and the timelocator freezes in place although playback continues. Then a 'toast' notification appears saying I am running in demo mode.

I run Artist, but noticed doing the launch from CC - you run in administrator mode.
 
So launch, then closing and then start by shortcut - and you are in normal user mode and can see if it all works - if internet is not there all the time.
 
I had no issue with it doing that.
 
Just something that might be a tip for devs...or anybody.

My copy all sudden starts in Demo mode at once when started, or at least a at once after auto plugin scan
Version 21.4.00 Build 27 - X64 " Membership ended 5/2/2015 - "Status Demo" ?? I didn't own Sonar at that date even???
I run a subscription and this is the 3 month...!
This problem started after steam update to Everett 
I have a SONAR Platinum Subscription 1 month recurring
About box says the above info but nothing about (xxxx.x) 
This makes the whole program useless to me and I fear from now to make any updates to early.. I hope I am wrong!!
 
 

I recommend contacting tech support. This is an older thread, and your post might not get noticed by Cakewalk (although they do pop in here from time to time, this is primarily a peer-to-peer forum). IIRC this has happened to others on occasion, and there is a relatively simple fix.
