  • [Solved] Drum Replacer Not Working Everywhere

So this is an odd twist for me...

Due to my electric dilemma, I did these installs at different times...

I first installed all the updates on my laptop and everything appears to work...

Then this evening I installed on my DAW, and Drum Replacer isn't working. I tried opening a number of different projects made with x2-x3 and it crashed Sonar every time...

Then I started a SPlat project
1) I loaded AD2 and selelected a midi pattern which I dragged to the AD2's midi track.
2) I froze the AD2. tracks ( multi out)
3) selected the snare and enabled (created) Drum Replacer ARA region

This attempt got the closest to working. My earlier attempts crashed immediately upon creating the region, but in the last example where I started with a SPlat origin file and the AD2 freeze, Drum Replacer appeared before the crash happened...

So... Any ideas why it would be working on one machine and not the other? I used the same download on both machines... The installs all reported success and everything else seems to have installed properly on both machines...

Much thanks for your time...

The current version of Drum Replacer is known to crash if the Render Bit Depth is set to 64bit in Preferences > File > Audio Data.

Just tried DR...

1. Don't show up at first, had to rescan plugins
2. Used it with AD2
3. Really impressed with speed, ease of use/intuitiveness.

Re: scook, I'm using 32 bit render depth so hasn't crashed.

Would like 2 things:
1. a light that flashes to indicate when a filtered peak is active (to confirm what ears hear!)
2. A lower threshold level to set a threshold 'band' with the current one. Acts like a gate.

Other than that, it's a first class, very useable addition.

5*

Ah! Thanks again scook!

As always you are totally on top of issues and a wellspring of knowledge and advice...

You are very gracious to give so much of yourself to help other Sonar users and I thank you with all of my heart... And ears! ;-)

If I change another users post, the forum software adds a notation to the post that I made a change. There are others with the ability to perform silent edits.

Very interesting!

The hand of the gods must be at work here! ;-)

Just to add a note of confirmation...

Switching down to 32 bit render did fix the situation.

Drum Replacer works just fine at this setting...

I'm sure they'll fix that quickly...

Now if they simplify adding user samples...

I can't wait to feel the joy of using this to disassemble a full kit track! Wow! To do that then be able to edit discrete individual hits and thereby modify a pre-recorded loop!

Nice!
