How can I get the synth rack to display in SPlat? When I press the "B" key, I get the browser at the right, but all I can get at is the folder list of my instruments when I use the "Instruments" button. The only way I can see the synth rack is by adding a synth from the instrument folder...Then a window appears at the bottom of the browser that I can pull up to reveal the synth rack. The documentation says press on the "synth" button - but I have no synth button, just 'Audio FX', 'MIDI FX' 'Instruments' and 'Rewire'.
Advise welcome!

Press the Alt key and 9 simultaneously. Multiple presses toggles the synth rack on and off.

Have you never opened the Views menu?

I had to create a lens with the synth rack open. So now it is always there when I open the browser.

Never had to do that before, just one of those CW updates that was actually a downdate for me

Thanks for the info, guys. I was having trouble with the documentation....but I found it there now.
Never even thought of getting at the synth rack via the "Views" dropdown - I always just used the "B" key and the synth rack was right there in the browser, so not seeing it threw me for a loop.

Yes it used to be there, then an uh, "update" removed it. That was the non update I was referring to.

For a long while we have had a lot of control over our "view".
But it's a matter of opening the windows you use, laying them out and saving that LENS or screenset. And as all things Sonar there is always 2 or more way to do the same thing.

It's a little quirky still as sometimes my screensets don't stick and older projects open in a mess.
Sometimes choosing a differnt lens and then re choosing my Advanced resets everything correctly.

I think they removed the Synth rack for the same reasoning they didn't include it in Home Studio. I like having the Synth rack and it was one thing I did not like about Home studio.
You don't really need it, but I myself like the visual of what is being used without digging around the track view. I also like using it to open VST GUI's.

I agree. I preferred it when the Synth Rack had its own tab in the Browser. I don't understand why they changed it. The way that it currently works has no obvious advantages.

I guess I should have added this to wishlist. We should be able to re-arrange the synth rack, just like we can tracks. Hold down mouse and drag to destination.
