I find threads addressing the issue, but not the answers I need, so I'm trying again.
I am a long time Cakewalk user, and a current Platinum Lifetime account.

Did a full rebuild of my music PC with new drives, and want to install things as clean as possible.
I am trying to install Platinum, without bundle, first manually.
Download file, and exec from folder and chose advanced/custom options...
Why is it when I get to the "shared folders" it says the share directory path has been defined and the browse button is greyed out not letting me choose path? Same with all other options.

I did try to install at first with the Command Center but was hoping for more path options with a manual install, and now I can not seem to change anything even though I have uninstalled the command center.

I am tired and frustrated and my studio has been down a month, so short on both patience and brain power.

Sounds like some things were written to the registry during the Comand Center installation attempt. See this thread:

I know you have said you installed with the CCC, but when you did this, did you try with the "verbose install" option on

Not even sure how you do the verbose install, which has been mentioned several times before, but not explained in anyway that I "get it"

Open up CCC, click on the cog on the top right of the CCC GUI.  In there, you will see an option to enable "verbose install"
