I have always been 32 bit and it has always worked fine for me.  Were it not that there is no longer 32 bit REASON to Rewire I would still be 32 bit but that is not the case.  I have upgraded every time Cakewalk has come out with a new DAW with exception of Cakewalk 7 Which I avoided because of the horrible reviews.  I normally simply install over what is already there but this time simply installing did not work.  SONAR Platium seems to be very buggish and is also having trouble scanning VST"S.  Perhaps it is confused concerning VST Folder location or something.  What Is the proper way to go 64 bit?  Full uninstall of previous versions and then install?  Thanks.  SONAR X3 32 bit still is working rock solidly by the way but Platinum is

Did you do a reset and re-scan of the VST plug-ins (scanning alone isn't enough)? That solves a lot of issues related to installations and plug-ins. I'd try that first.
