I just purchased/upgraded to Sonar Pro, which came with an abbreviated version of addictive drums. Loading the XLR installer with the serial number supplied, it cont. to tell me that no registration number exists. Did I really not get addictive drums at all, just a demo version? That sucks. Anybody found a remedy to this?

IIRC, I downloaded AD2 via XLN's Online Installer and then launched AD2 stand-alone as administrator (right click the icon). I forget if you can register via running the online installer as admin.

If neither of the above work, contact CW tech support.

Thanks again Mettleus!, When attempting to run the XLN Online installer the only/first screen is a prompt to register/activate with a 'Product Key". I am entering, per the Cakewalk Doc., the Serial number as that is the only number cakewalk gave and according to the pic on the Doc. that is what is supposed to be entered for a 'product key'. The XLN screen promptly tells me that the registration key does not exist. I'm confused. (....Hmmm,..Don't think I can remember the first time I said that....) I am running as administrator...
I'll see what CWTS says. Thanks again.

I ran into the same problem when I purchased SONAR Platinum. I already owned AD2 and a number of ADPaks. The AD2 install via Command Center kept telling me that the product couldn't be launched directly. Bah.

What I had to do was go to xlnaudio.com, log in to my account, go to My Products and "Register Product Key". That's where you paste in the serial number from Command Center.

Then, you use the XLN Online Installer app to activate the additional ADPaks AND Kit Pieces AND MIDI paks.

Indeed it does, and they sound great! Thanks so much guys!
If ya don't mind I gotta quick question about the AD product. The rhythm clips (for lack of not knowing the correct term) or files that came with AD, can I access them without opening the main AD GUI? I would like to be able to copy and paste the folder alongside of the 'Groove Monkey', 'Smart Loops' etc for easy access. But I can't seem to find where they're located. Is this possible and if so where are the files? Thanks again for all your time guys! It's not taken for granted and is well appreciated!

The "Beats" (MIDI clips) you're referring to appear to be embedded in the .xpak distribution files. When I dragged a "Blues" beat (complete song) into MIDI Yodi, all I got was a Type 0 track for piano. So, you may be out of luck. Sorry.

I believe that you will have to copy them (MIDI files) from the AD2 GUI to your MIDI track.

Thanks , I do believe that is going to be the case. Them folks is proud of them beats, bless their hearts.
Shouldn't I be able to drop one of their clips into a midi file and then grab it and stretch/drag it to length that I need? I've been grabbing and stretching and the 'envelope' lengthens but the MIDI information does not. I've been having to use cakewalks midi drum patterns (which is fine, lotsa good stuff there) because the AD files wont stretch. I'm confused yet again.

Proud? Yeah. I think rightly so. Consider the following product description from XLN's website. There's more going on inside those MIDIpaks than MIDI, methinks. Wonder if your issue is related to the one I mentioned above re the MIDI track I dragged out of AD2 loaded as a Type 0 (single stereo channel) with instrument type Piano. Very odd.
