Ok. What did I do? All of a sudden any synth vsti I load get's stuck on preset. I can change it while track is playing but snaps back to original preset when restarted?

Hi. What version of SONAR do you use? Could you give us your specs (processor, RAM, audio interface, etc.)? Do you have the latest drivers and updates on your system?

there is a setting ( zero controler when play\stop) option-project--midi out ( zero controler when play\stop)uncheck it

Yes. I have the newest version of Sonar Platinum.
This solution didn't work, but to the best of my knowledge this is only happening with this project. I've never encountered it before.

Steinberg UR12 Interface which probably has absolutely nothing to do with this problem...very strange.
I wonder if I accidently unchecked/checked something on the screen you get when you add a synth?
 
Ok. As soon as I typed that I went and checked something I should have checked before on this project. I can change synth on other tracks, but not this one. I must have checked something.

Me either. I believe I will delete this track and try again. Very weird. I've never seen this before. Thanks for the ideas!

what synth do you use on this one?

Ha! Too many. The story line is like this:
I'm covering Bob Marley's "Waiting in Vain." I started with a bunch of unprocessed drum tracks, I used SI Bass guitar, simply because I never had before and wanted to see what I could do with it.
At the beginning of the tune there is a very simple organ line that I used a free Vsti that I like called Organized Trio.
As I started messing with the drums I thought it would be cool to get a little crazy with that  organ line. That's where the problem started. I loaded Reaktor 5 to that track and the presets locked. No matter what I replaced the synth with I would not be able to change the presets.
I deleted the Synth and tracks all together and created new ones and no problem. Weird.
