There's always lots of general discussions in this forum but there are a lot of threads that discuss work flow improvements or what might be a great feature to add. That's great.

What isn't great is that nowhere near as many contributors seem to access the Features and Ideas forum. That's the place that Cakewalk are going to go to looking for what the users think about feature requests and some of the great ideas folks come up with.

Out here we'll get hundreds reading a thread and several pages of comments but over in the place where it really matters the same thread with a specific feature request might get 5 comments and 8 people who voted. (Just an example)

Come on guys make it a part of your forum time to include the Features and Ideas forum.

I posted in that forum and a "Host" told me that my idea was selfish. He went on in another thread to say that it was bad form to attack a person but good to attack their ideas to weed out the ones that are not good.
 
Thanks John, I'll never post in that forum again if the hosts are going to decide what ideas are acceptable and what are unreasonable and selfish. Let the hosts decide what we get, they've ruined the experience for me.

Don't let 'em get to you John. It's our Sonar us much as theirs.

I understand that Mike, but I really dislike the tone around here when they get involved. I still participate in discussion in spite of John and his mates. I don't need any more stress in my life and participation is becoming a stress causing activity because you have to be prepared to defend yourself at all times.
 
Part of the Sonar experience was the forums and that part of the experience is now tainted.

I would like to see more involvement from cake in that area of the forum, in fact in the forum in general. I've made a number of threads in that area and supported a number of ideas, but I lack a real belief it has any real meaning beyond a way to express some ideas.

I disagree - I got excellent help a couple of times.
Some feedback made help extended on an issue etc.
I think it's scanned properly - Cake is watching, kind of.
 
But just as well as features I feel are vital get no votes, and couple have - taste and needs are different for each of us.
 
I think it was Noel, or Seth that at a time said - they are not mindreaders, we need to post about bugs and ideas.
 
Agree with OP that Features n Ideas  needs more attention from us users...

I agree with Mike.  There are some real gems buried in there too that come of discussion about how a feature might work.

Some of the many enhancements requested for the Cakewalk Control Center in the features and Ideas forum are now slated for the upcoming update to C3.
 
So don't discount the possibility of contributing.
 
The Hosts speak for themselves not Cakewalk in terms of the ideas. If they don't like it that's fine but it's not up to them. If you think the idea has merit keep lobbying for support and get votes.
