I posted in that forum and a "Host" told me that my idea was selfish. He went on in another thread to say that it was bad form to attack a person but good to attack their ideas to weed out the ones that are not good.

I am trying to figure out which "Hosts"are qualified to weed out the ideas that are good and those that are not. And also why  a "Host" would want to attack an idea.
Are the "Hosts"the chosen people to censor ideas and "attack" them ? Are they themselves "All Knowing" as to what ideas are good or bad?

Thanks John, I'll never post in that forum again if the hosts are going to decide what ideas are acceptable and what are unreasonable and selfish. Let the hosts decide what we get, they've ruined the experience for me.

It seems that the only thing they are doing is chasing away good forum members, when they(Hosts ) dont agree with them. Maybe a Host update with the next update of SPlat.

This should be in the Feature Requests forum.

I disagree that cakewalk should interact with feature requests, they should avoid it like the plague! cakewalk can read they don't have to interact. All they need to do is count the votes.

Their time is best spent in problem reports forum if anywhere IMHO, and unfortunately we hardly see them there. And we still get problem reports withdrawn without any comment.

I agree with you when you use the word "Cakewalk" in place of "Hosts". What I dont agree on is when a host thinks he/she should be the one to weed out bad ideas from the good ones and to attack the bad ideas. IMHO, Hosts are people too, But they are not all knowing when it comes to features and ideas. That should be left to Cakewalk to decide .

What have they implemented from feature requests section so far? How am I encouraged to feel it has value? NOt that this has stopped me so far, just asking.

If a host is moving your post around or freezing a thread or something.. for no good reason.. then yup I get it. But if you are saying hosts shouldn't be able to comment ... Of course they should. They are paying customers as well.

I wish hosts would merge threads down there more, as every time somebody posts a similar thread that waters down somebody else's vote. They only seem to merge my threads for some reason.

With so many hosts available I don't see much work going on. If they aren't able to perform host duties effectively they should give it up and let somebody else have a go.

Take an example from me.

Without trawling through pages, their little way to know if a idea has already be posted. INcreases the chances of duplicates. It's a messy set up really, that need a different structure.

Well hosts are supposed to be looking after these forums.
