The difference between the Cubase forum and the Sonar forum:

Cubase forum:  People trying to solve problems, give or ask for information.
Sonar forum:    People trying to solve problems, give or ask for information in a sea of highschool drama.

What's wrong with a little humor and lively back and forth? I don't waste my time on boring forums. This is the public square, the equivalent of the Roman Forum. Let it flow, life is too short.

Back to the OP:  the PRV Controller Pane is still the worst thing ever, but I posted about it so often early in Platinum that there doesn't seem to be any point in renewing those posts.    So ... perhaps the "shift in the forum" is people like me getting used to work-arounds, waiting hopefully for fixes to those problems that affect them, or else simply leaving for other products.

I apologize for contributing to the high school drama. At times, it us hard to ignore the tactic of very insulting language by the perpetual malcontents. The same people who leave very rude replies to hosts and moderators seem to ironically be the ones prone to point out reactions to their behavior and I foolishly took the bait. Won't happen again.

To summarize on this particular derailment of the forum and this thread: why not let a problem report resonate as it may?

That's a very germane question. I think a lot of the issue is that we know the Bakers monitor the problem report and feature requests forums more than the general discussion. So I think making sure that something is in the right place improves the odds of it being noticed and acted upon by people who can actually do something about it.

Of course, the irony is that creating a post about high school drama is in itself an example of high school drama.
