Hi all,
Hope life's treating you well.
Just getting started on Sonar X3. Downloaded ASIO and sorted latency problem but have an issue with input/output I think. When I play my bass through my M-Audio interface I can hear it ok, no latency, but I get a farting noise on the beat and when I record it, the playback is mostly the farting noise. Any help would be appreciated.

Best,

John

Hi, What is your setup? Pc, RAM etc. Do you have the latest driver update for your pc and audio interface? It will help people give you answers.
Best of luck.

Are you setting up your input gain properly? Sounds like your overdriving the input.
But that would not actually make a farting noise unless the fart was very high velocity.
Don't forget to wash your beans well before cooking your chili.

Thanks for the advice gents. I'm using a Dell Laptop which has an I7 5th generation processor (5500) running at 2.40GHz. It has 8MB of RAM. I have updated the drivers for the soundcard & for my M-Audio M-Track interface.

And I always wash my beans well too, Cactus!

Will try fiddling with the input/gain later and see what happens.

Cheers.

Yea, it sounds like you are overdriving the input.  Try backing off and see if you don't have such gas.
