I have a Dell Laptop with a touch enabled screen. If I try to move a control, say a fader, with the mouse the fader goes down to -infinity and I'm unable to move it back up it tries and tries but ultimately will stall at around -36db. Is there a way to turn this,  meaning touch, off in Sonar Platinum?

This laptop is my mobile rig and doesn't get used for music much but I have a remote session today and I'm trying to get it set up.

Thanks

If you go to control panel>All Control Panel Items> Display Settings are you set to anything other than 'smaller'.
Sonar is designed for smaller and I have had this issue. It actually destroys the touch screen capability of hi-res laptops, as everything is too small.

You'll also notice that anything you click on that create four white corners when selected

is affected by this. Any Pro Channels not created by Cakewalk are fine (as they do not do this) and VSTs, just the cakewalk stuff. If you try the Quad EQ for example, it's nuts.

So set to 'smaller' in display settings, or use a mouse with a scroll option.

Has this been fixed in Dorchster, I'm trying now in Sonar and it seems to work as expected? I can't see anything in the fix notes!

Thanks you two...I'm going to use the Mouse Scroll option for now, it will work fine for my current effort.

Thanks again!

I'm a little thrown now. I can't see anything in the Cambridge or Dorchester release notees, but 2 issues seem to now be resolved. The OP's and my issues with the plus and minus key (on the number pad only) causing system volume to open.

This has really opened up the touch screen options for me, but nothing seems to have been said from cakewalk.

BTW you can use the + and - keys on the problematic controls, to move them, as well as the scroll wheel. The controls that are not affected (such as none cakewalk developed ProChannels) with issues when in display setting larger than 'smaller' won't respond to + and - keys, but will be fine with normal mouse movements
