or Nectar2 for vocal settings on 2 tracks.

Is this where I should use a bus? One FX,  2 or 3 tracks all same setting.....I'm still forgetting to save a preset when I get it tuned in......all in good time.

You should be able to save a pre set at any time and then recall it for different tracks.
I do this all the time with the compressor. I have a few default vocal and bass settings saved.

Generally speaking we put certain processes in the place in the chain as how a mixing console was used.
Compressors,EQ and pre amps go in the track bin which is the DAW version of an insert.
Reverb's and delays go on a buss effects send.

I usually use a bus for each type of instrument or voice. Bass ,drums, guitar, synth / keyboard, vocals, effects etc. You can also parallel process through tracks and bus (f.ex use same eff on both bus and track).

If I'm processing two similar tracks exactly the same, whether EQ, comp or whatever, I'll send them to a buss and add the FXs there. Saves time and resources.
