I'm having problems with VocalSync as well. I get a lot of artifacts in the synced render and many times it actually desynchronizes the material.
 
I've opened the AUD.INI to try the suggested settings, but both DefaultVocalSyncOfflineStretchMethod and DefaultVocalSyncOnlineStretchMethod aren't in it at the first place.
 
I have tried adding these values myself at the very top of the document, but don't notice any changes.
