I'm not one to use a lot of reverb in general so when I do use it I'll go with what sounds best for that particular tune.  I find there are many good settings in Breverb but I always have to bring down the wet mix and do a little tweaking to get a smooth verb. The ReMatrix has some good settings also but as I said I will use what meets the requirements of the song. Use your ears and when applying any effect and remember nothing says amateur more than a load of reverb.

I record a lot of young, indie type bands and, there seems to be a resurgence of big, thick, drippy reverb starting to happen. For me it has gone from, "We don't want ANY reverb" to , "More reverb, lot's of it"!

The Lexicon is my "go to" reverb with Sonitus a close 2nd.  I'm still working with Breverb to make it sound right for my purposes, but I feel it will happen sooner or later.  I'm just putting it down to user idiosyncrasies for now.  Actually, the ReMatrix is magic to me and I find myself using it in all my mixes.  Sill in limbo about the preset issues, however.

A Lexicon LXP-1 and Alesis Quadarverb (I KNOW - yikes!) are my outboards that I still fondly use...   But like many others, I have issues with the Breverb.  Seems like a there is a lot of tinkering to get it right.  On the other hand, I KNOW i have spent countless hours on the Qverb setting to get it to be one of my favs.

FWIW, I have learned thru the years that if one takes the time to learn everything about the devices (boards, modules, software, hardware, etc.) that they have, they come to have an appreciation for them

Well, okay, most of them

oh man...this thread got me to get off my butt and re-install Lexicon Pantheon...and I'm soooo glad I took the 5 minutes!  ha!  Threw in VC-64 while I was at it.  Just littered my computer with 32 bit stuff!!
Now my Sonar 7 can go back in the closet.

I always did like Pantheon, even when it wasn't in style.       One suggestion for those delving into it - try the surround version instead of the default stereo version.  There's a slight difference in the way audio is processed that IMO always sounded a bit better, even when processing a stereo track.

That said, now I'm going to have to install too!   Though at the moment I'm finding that ReMatrix is really hitting the spot for me.    Eh, may as well have more choices... right?

Breverb 2 full version has become my "go-to" reverb plug, so I don't ever use the PC version...

I've still got my Alesis Quadraverb. I should sell it as it never gets used

I use the reverbs that are stock in Platinum.  They work for me.

Breverb 2 on vocals.  I find a Hall or Room preset and adjust from there.  I don't care for the PC Module.  I keep the manual nearby.

BT BlueVerb for instrument tracks.  The EMT Plate is the usual starting point.

I use the Sonitus Reverb sometimes too.  I understand its controls.

I'm not very familiar with Perfect Space or ReMatrix Solo yet....
