I switched out my Presonus Audiobox 22vsl to a Focusrite 2i2 (with latest driver) and Platinum recognizes it fine but not only do I not get any sound but no VUs move during playback with an existing project (vsti tracks, audio tracks, master bus, etc).
It also takes about 2 seconds for playback to start after pressing play.
I've tried various buffer settings but no change.
An mp3 plays fine in WMPlayer...what am I missing here?

First uninstall presonus and focusrite drivers. Reboot. Install latest mix control from focusrites website. If you are running ASIO4ALL get rid of that as well.

I had only installed the driver (2.5.1) but I did as you suggested and opened the mix control and got "no hardware detected...".
This is obviously not a Sonar issue so if anyone has any suggestions please PM me.

EDIT: worth noting it won't even play an mp3 in WMP any more but works fine on another PC (with just the driver installed)

Randy, is Win recognizing it as a Playback device in the Task Bar at the bottom right speaker icon??? (from what you're stating, it doesn't look like it is).
 
I'm not sure what to make of it as when I installed the drivers for my 2i4, it was as simple as it could be and I've never had any issues.
 
Hopefully someone else will chime in.....you can also try dropping a note to Focusrite.....their customer service is very good and speedy.

Can I use Scarlett MixControl with the Scarlett 2i2?No, the Scarlett 2i2 is not compatible with Scarlett MixControl. All of its controls are hardware based instead. To change buffer size and sample rate go to the audio preferences in your DAW (Mac) or press the control panel button from the audio preferences in your DAW(PC).
 
I will uninstall and reinstall the driver (only) again...if I get the same results I'll contact their support.

I'd also make sure within the control panel for Focusrite to select the sample rate to be 48000......(at least it works well for me as all my standalone synths/Sonar/Win defualt playback are also set to that). 

Yup it's optimized for 48/24... at least for latency.

Just found the problem...I have heard about some interfaces not working properly thru usb 3....apparently this is one of them. I switched it to my only available usb 2 port and everything is hunky dorey now.
Thanks very much for your suggestions guys, they are what helped me snap that I may have it plugged into a usb 3 port (same port the presonus was plugged into that had no issue)
