Not sure when this happened...

I had recorded a number of passes on a track and they were listed with the new at the top... The tracks were archived and hidden... A day later opening them up and now the lanes are stacked with the oldest on top...

It's hard nough getting used to the new at top stacking mode after all these years but going back and forth is even harder...

Bug report!

I had this happen recently as well and I'm sure it has happened before but was too overwhelmed with other stuff to notice.

Here's the crazy thing. In my case I was double recording into two tracks simultaneously. They were in a folder with the record mode set to Group all Clips in Folders. It was guitar parts recorded using the dual output of my amp so I wanted to be able to easily edit both sets of clips simultaneously.

One track all the clips/lanes went sequentially from top to bottom. In the other bottom to top. Very strange, confusing and silly. I was going to start a thread to see if anyone else had experienced this or if I screwed something up. You seem to have confirmed the quirk.

I cannot be certain if they recorded this way or if, like in your description, it happened sometime after the fact (as in they recorded in the same order then one set of lanes did a backflip at some point afterward).

Cheers.

I recall this happening with earlier versions of X3 when take lanes were a nightmare.  But I thought it was fixed and have not personally seen it since X3e.

Yeah...

I saw it happen in X3e as well, but never got around to reporting it as too many other this were occupying my mind... ;-)

I guess I'm off to the bug reporter...

Thanks Guys!

The project I was describing earlier was done in Splat Braintree from start to finish (it was a session so I only had a few tracks to do which is why the short time frame).

Maybe it's been fixed in Dorchester but I'll keep an eye out. Thanks for reporting it Keni. I never get around to actually sending reports to the Bakers. I'm a baaaad Beep. ;-)

Cheers.

No... Not fixed here anyway. I'm running Dorchester...

I just bugged it up for the reporter...

This has been happening intermittently for quite some time before the SPlat release... I'm sure I saw it in X3e and I think I've seen it happen ever since the release of lanes... This was the first time I was able to repeat for a recipe...

Keni, did you happen to Undo while recording/editing Takes?  That's the only time I can recall seeing the magic lane switcharoo.

Hi Steve...

It's a possibility as I do use undo often, but I've recreated this without using the undo for sure...

It seems it happens after the freeze/hide....
