Hello,
Firstl off let me say I've not had any difficulty with performance, but just my curiosity and fiddlyness. I disables core parking long ago and limited things in startup and for the most part instituted all of the CW performance tweaks.
What I've not done, and I just drilled into BIOS and looked, is that I have not disabled
Intel Speed Step
Intel Turbo Boost
Both show currently enabled.
What would the advantages of disabling these be and why. Again, I see no current performance issues, but I've just reviewed the Cake 'performance tweaks guide' again (2014 version in KB) - (hums 12 bars from Styx 'too much time on my hands') and my nerdiness is getting the best of me.
Thanks,
Bill -
