I've never used Stripe - shame you can't tip with PayPal.

Would give $49 dollars for a Mug thrown in but Customs would probably charge me the same again plus  VAT so it would be a pretty expensive Mug.

You don't buy the MUG, it's a reward for making a tip. I presume it will be sent as a gift.

Sell those black mugs for $15 I would get one.  I don't like coffee mugs either but that black one is sweet.

Your missing the point, nobody's selling mugs, it's a reward you get for making a donation/giving a tip to CB.

PayPal was added on request a couple of days ago, you'll see it there now :-)

I got as far as entering my CC details when I learned the only option is to "Save Card". Sorry, no go. I've seen enough data breaches over the years to refuse to hand over my card details to anyone who intends to store them. Add a one-time use option and I'll gladly drop some money towards development.

I'll top it up when the installer adds an option to install in the destination of my choosing (one of the reasons I threw out the CbB installation I made for trial purposes is that I don't like to pollute my limited-space C drive). And toss in some more when the BandLab assistant stops triggering every malware detection program I have running.

Oh, and I'll throw in an extra buck or two if the icon colour is changed from the McDonald's take-your-food-and-get-out orange to something a bit more classy. I'll admit the old SONAR icon was a bit understated, but at least it didn't look cheap.

I'm wondering if you also take the time to **** about the performance of people busking in the street, before leaving them without tip after listening to their show ?

That depends on whether or not your country has a free trade agreement with the country sending the mugs. If you could find out which country they ship from, you could find out if you'll have to pay excessive duties or not.

EU anything outside is duty, duty and more duty.

I was absolutely ECSTATIC to be able to firmly indicate my support and happiness for the new lease on development for Cakewalk, and while I am a bit less enamored with Gibson about their role in it all, the Bandlab folks had nothing to do with any of that, and quite conversely have REALLY earned my instant respect for stepping in and not only saving Sonar/Cakewalk, AND for allowing existing users to freely port over, they REALLY further kicked it up another several notches by allowing the rest of the planet to come on board to a basic version of Cakewalk for free.  I think that was a BRILLIANT way to get a lot more folks using and hopefully expanding the customer base down the road.

I would also be lying if I didn't harbor a large sense of joy at getting a coffee mug out of it all, but I really didn't mind investing $49 to help out.  I just hope that my love of composing music with odd meters won't make the coffee slosh out of the new Cakewalk by Bandlab mug....

I made a small donation. Main reason for this is that I admire Meng's business model. It's modern and progressive.

I see some in here still have the mindset of the old slave economy. Only pay because you are forced to.
Here is a golden opportunity for something new, pay according to means and set your own price for what you think it is worth. If you value something, and have the means ... the honorable thing to do is support what you are using ... not just by words ... but by action. Under the current global regime, that means sharing some of your economic power. Hopefully enough people will see this, and many small drops will make an ocean of resources for development.

It's not about buying mugs and t-shirts, it's about voluntarily supporting the development of the DAW through donations. The rewards received are just tokens of donation. It makes a statement, saying I support Cakewalk by BandLab.

There you go! Well said.
For me, I mark $50 as "cheap" to keep Cakewalk moving forward.
BTW, received an email this morning asking which mug I want...

I said earlier that I would kick in if it helped. My mug is coming. I saw that someone had trouble using Paypal. I just paid with it; maybe try again?
