I know how you feel...

...but even though I use SD3 most of the time, I must say in defense of AD2 that you can totally customize your kits in AD too. And selecting pieces is way easier than file editing! ;-). The only limitation is that the basic samples must be from those kits/pieces that they provide.

They do have some decent stuff though I must admit that I find it a drag I cannot simply hear a kit/piece without all the additional processing they use to get their kit sounds...

I prefer to simply get well recorded samples of great sounding kits! So what I chose to include in my 3 pkgs. that came with Sonar were not what I expected...

So I do use both... I've even used both together to create a kit. I used AD2 for the entire kit except the kick drum which I ran in SD3....
