I must be doing something really wrong... I've used it before but right now I can't seem to...

I've run into two problems.

I have a track that is a frozen guitar recording...
I unfreeze it and all region fx options are grayed out... I re freeze it and I can then set a region fx area
When I click on the select region above the knob, it only shows one track...

So I looked through the local help which tells me to first right click on the track I wish to use as guide and select "set as vocal sync guide default"... I couldn't find any such option...?

The track I wish to use as guide is a frozen drum track from Session Drummer
The only track available in the set guide drop down is a track that I also wish to align... Not use as guide...

I have two tracks that are the same part cloned to use two different amps via amplitube3 and I would like to align their timing to a ride cymbal....

What am I missing here? I tried vocal sync once before and it seemed easy...

Thanks!

Could it be a stereo vs mono issue. I don't think Vocalsync would work on a stereo track. Just guessing really.

Thanks mudgel...

I guess it could be as the ride cymbal track is stereo and the guitar track is mono...

Why can I not create a region fx on the original clip (un-frozen)...

I bounced the clip to itself and then I could enable a region fx...

It also seems to be able to do this after the track is frozen, but not the original recording which is not locked in any way I know of...

As to the guide track selection? I'm now thinking that all the tracks in this song except for the two guitar tracks are stereo. Maybe it is only seeing the other guitar track as a potential guide being the only other mono track?

I'll look into that ASAP....

...and then there's the local help file which talks of relight clicking a track to set as default guide track. What's that all about? I couldn't find any such command/option anywhere...

I was able to use vocalsync previously and it was so simple... <sigh>

Thanks for the idea....
