  • Gibson EB5 Rapture expansion in Dorchester doesn't work (?)

I've installed the above expansion (via the CCC) but when trying to load the patches I get a pop up that states that there is an error uncompressing program data and they won't load.
Is this a common problem or is it just me?

You are using Rapture Pro? I haven't seen a pop up yet you need need to look at the logs.
Orignal Rapture would explain it though.

It's the normal Rapture and there's no indication of any logs being generated.
I just want someone to load a Rapture and try to load the patch.
If it doesn't work for someone else then I'll not worry that my system is acting up!

I believe the original EB5 expansion pack was a DimPro pack. When RPro rolled out, several packages which I already owned showed up in C3. I did not install the "Gibson EB5 TCTN TCTB Bass (Win)" package because I already had installed it in DPro. Is this the one you are trying to use?

It sounds like the type of error one receives trying to use flac files in Rapture. Rapture Pro supports flac.

It is that one. I had a feeling in my water that it had something to do with Dim Pro but I've not seen anything designed for Dim Pro show up in Rapture before. Odd.

My best guess is the package installed in Rapture because the new installer designed with RPro in mind falls back to Rapture instead of DPro as the target. This is a problem. I am not sure the program files are compatible with Rapture but the flac files definitely will not work in Rapture.

I have not seen any comments from CW about the expansion pack installers which appeared during the DPro roll out. It would be nice to know a little more about them.

But isn't Rap Pro suppose to play all programs from Dim Pro?

I have the same expansion pack. It plays in Dim Pro, but not in Rap Pro.

This is an unrelated issue. I have the DPro EB5 version installed and with a little registry magic have it and most other legacy  packages loading correctly in RPro. Not sure if my solution is supported by Cakewalk. Waiting for the official Cakewalk resolution to the RPro legacy library load issue.

You just hack the registry paths - is that all?
