Hmm I suppose you don't have a prior version of the project with settings intact that you can retry the bounce on?
Please be as specific as possible about the project. Did the reset occur with all PC modules or only some? Was the reset only on PC effects chains or on normal PC modules as well?
From your description it would appear that some operation caused the fx state to be initialized. If you can get a repro for this or narrow it down further it would be great.
