  • All projects out of tune!!!!! EDIT - Some projects [SOLVED]

Before I downloaded Dorchester, I opened a project and tracks (midi) were randomly off my several cents, sometimes as much as a quarter tone. I checked the VST settings and they are not retuning the instrument and the track inspector does not show a transposition. I closed the project and opened a couple of others. ALL have the same issue. I haven't edited these projects for days.

VSTs when loaded in their stand-alone app (like EW Hollywood Strings) are fine. The same patches in Sonar projects are detuned.

I rebooted Windows, no change.
I installed Dorchester, no change.

I guess next step is to re-install Sonar...

Has anyone had anything like this happen? Any ideas? No, I am not drinking....

Thank you for the link. Unfortunately no joy...

BUT, it looks like deleting the VST and re-adding is fixing the problem. We'll see after I go through every one in the project...

Try a VST reset in Sonar. Then rescan.

Could this be sample rate related?

Tried VST reset, rescan and restart Sonar. No joy.

It seems that EW libraries are the ones that are affected. Strange thing is that the file dates on the project files are from last week or earlier.

Thanks for the ideas!

I'll check into the sample rate idea too. Thanks.

Yes I bet the sample rate is the issue.

I got a little jumpy, so far it is only 2 projects that have the issue and reloading the instruments in Play "fixed" it. My last completed project doesn't have the problem. If I find any more projects with the issue I'll check on the sample rate.

Thanks everyone for your assistance. Now I can go back to Dorchester!
