Can anyone tell me if Sonar X2 comes with Melodyne Essentials?

No, it started being bundled with X3 Studio/Producer when ARA was introduced.

X2 was the last version to be released under Roland, and as a consequence it was the last version with V-Vocal, which can be used for many of the same things as Melodyne.

With the acquisition by Gibson, all Roland tech was dropped and Cake invested in ARA (developed by Celemony and PreSonus) to reach similar integration (and more) using Melodyne.
