half of this thread is a "helpful bump"
i wonder if this is helping ;)
maybe it would be nice to compile and organize the information of the many "FAQ, Did You know, Tip of the day., etc. threads into one.
just a thought.

Here is a Session Drummer 3 (SD3) Tip that came as a quick reply from the Cakewalk Support team.

I wanted to audition the midi patterns loaded into the Pattern Pads in SD3 but it would only play the first 4 beats of the pattern and I could not find any way to change that. A lot of the midi clips are 2 - 8 bars long but I could only hear the first 4 beats. Well it can be changed by the following supplied by the Cake Support Team:

Thank you for contacting Cakewalk Technical Support. Yes, you can do
this. Please follow the instructions below...

1. Go to your Session Drummer 3 GUI

2. Look at the "MIDI" row within the drumkit window

3. There should be a number at the right end of this row.

4. Click and hold this number, move your mouse up and down and the
number should increase and decrease.

Doing this will change the amount of beats in a pattern.

Hopefully this works for you. Let us know if we can help you with
anything else.
Hope I'm not the only one that didn't know how to do this and hope others can benefit.

Best Regards,
Rick

Tip for auditioning loops from the Media Browser View.
I am not a big fan of auditioning loops via the loop mode in the Media View so here is what I have found useful. Set your now time to where you wish the new loop or part will start. Simply double click the loop you want instead of dragging and dropping the loop. I found that dragging and dropping can become pretty tedious after many repetitions and this helped me out real well.
