Yes mudgel...

You're right, but I'm thinking of being able to refer back to this info at a later time. Of course I could keep files of each release, but it would be much easier to have a maintained location to refer to for this info...

But if you're a member when the update comes out you get the eZine that details everything that comes with the release. There's also other docs with info on what's been fixed updated and new features.

If you weren't a member for the release then it would be useless information. If you skipped the release you can't rollback. So just download the release and its info and decide if you do or don't want to install. You'll always get announcement on the forum that a new release is out.

Can you imagine in 12 months time all the stickies that would be on the front page with release info if each one was kept there.

Having them all in one place would help those searching for "Will this update affect or help me?" rather than searching for the email or on the forum and maybe turning up the right info would be great. The management of it would have to reverse-post, where the newest information would be first, followed by previous versions, etc.

A single web page with all the ezines on it will do fine. Do we have that? Not sure.

Why not just keep it with the release info on the webpage? It's all there right now:

Yeah that's cool right now thanks, after the 12th update (or before) it would be nice though to have a page with just PDF's as that page is going to get very very very very long, and no doubt you will start splitting it into multiple web pages...

I had no reason to comment on this topic, but I think you could have a point - as the bakers keep adding more and more each month, that list will just keep growing and could get a little unwieldy.   And I mean that in the most positive way humanly possible.

Just to add PDF is nice to have, but searching on the web for more detail is a difficult in this format (rather than HTML). Ideally fixes and enhancements should be listed in a tabular format across multiple releases as an option.. Loads of work I know.

We used to just go to Support, search for information according to the product and version and we could get access to update program files and release documents and knowledge base articles. Simples.

It is a bit all over the place now.

I keep the PDFs in the Command Center downloads folder.

Hi Andrew...

That works fine for the current release, but trying to find info for previous releases is where it gets difficult...

Thanks!

Good idea...

I typically keep all my pdf's in a sub-folder of My Documents calked... What else... PDF's...

Probably be easier to keep the Sonar pdf's isolated like that, but then I have to remember they're not in my pdf's folder.... Maybe I'll leave copues in both?

Thanks...
