It should be a yellow button if you need to update. Braintree was build 21.1.0.37 Cambridge is build 21.1.0.38. I think there are some issues with CCC seeing the version you have if you installed offline but don't hold me to that as I do all updates and install with Command Center.

Thanks teego. I guess my ccc isn't seeing the update. I have the Braintree build. Sonar is yellow and has been even after I updated to Braintree so I don't know what's going on. Maybe someone from Cake will help out.

Thanks again.

Hi-

I haven't decided if I'm going the download/install manually or automatic route yet for this update, but I noticed a couple things about the Command Center which made me go "Huh?":
  • The first item listed is "Brian Hardgroove Collection," which has a red light and an Install button. Is that content different from what's in the "Hardgroove's Bass Loops" and "Hardgroove Steinberger" folders? I already have those, installed from the CC.
  • When I click on SONAR Platinum, it shows I have the Braintree Update and says "An update is available for this product! Learn More," but when I click that link it just takes me to the Cakewalk SONAR Product page, which has no info about the update that I could see. I thought it might go to info about Cambridge.
Thanks for the update!

HOLD ON! Cambridge has done something to my ProChannel list! After the upgrade I looked for the Panipulator in the PC list and there are now 4 blank boxes added on the list. PCS-BusCM, PCS-CakeSM, PCS-GlossEQM, and PCS-NukeCM! The names are there but no plugins!
When I click on one of the boxes a VST Plugin Error box appears! It says it failed to load and gives the location as C/Program Files (x86)/Cakewalk/Shared Utilities/Internal/ and the name of the plug.
None of this was going on until I updated thru CCC.
I have checked and the plugs .dll files are there. Any idea anyone?
I would really like to get these empty plugin boxes off my list. It is very annoying.

Run a VST reset for the 32bit version of Cambridge.

The CCC still needs love (particularly to manually installed products). Installing manually and then running CCC merely changed SONAR status from Green to Yellow. All others remained red from manual install previously. This will get out of hand rapidly in coming months.

Just curious, though...if you install manually and are not using the CCC to install files, does it really matter what the CCC shows? If each release shows which elements to download for the release, then you'll know what needs to be installed.

I can feel this slip slidin' away, so before it does completely, does anyone have any comments on my previous post: http://forum.cakewalk.com/FindPost/3197611
esp. WRT the "Brian Hardgroove Collection," which shows as red but I think is already completely installed in the expected place (and by the CCC)?

Thanks-

After having recently been dumped into demo mode and being told to log out and back into Command Centre I now have all read lights so spent the morning making them go green.

You're right though what does it matter if we're getting notification of updates outside the CCC. It's just the green lights mean you're good to go while red means you have to stop. Something psychological about that. Maybe I'm just psycho, who knows.

If you installed the Braintree Anderton collection, the Hardgroove collection is on your machine. Unfortunately, because the Hardgroove Collection has a new installer, C3 does not know it was already installed on your PC. I am guessing this installer was created because the content is exclusive to Braintree. Also there was some mention of the Collection being available for sale to member who sign up after Braintree.

Ok, I see. I'll skip it, then.  I guess I'll just ignore C3's indicator lights until it matures a bit.

Thanks, Steve!
