why cakewalk sonar not popular for hi end award winners of sound engineers ?
1. Advertising
2. Quality
3. Policy of company
4. More Bugs
5. Low tools
6. Just for Windows
7. Difficult
8. Cpu usage
9. Or.....  what!?
.
If quality is same with other popular DAWs like protools,  Cubase,  logic I like to stay in this DAW.
But if the main problem is quality,  please describe which problem.....!?
This program is the first 64 bit engine.
This have a good tools like direct , good audio snap for quantize,  more edit option,  easy monitoring system, and more.....
I live with this program for 10 years and optimize my pc and optimize my hands for bugs and l have a just 5% bugs.
.
Do you know any award winner sound engineers in sonar....!? Or big studio with sonar....!?
Or I might be mac and protools or Cubase or logic.....!?

Hi, Sonar Platinum is the best pro Daw for me,but Cake have never done a right relationships with the third parts developers.
You can see,for instance, many hardware and controllers brands that advertise tested with, template of........but almost never i see Sonar....

Sonar is awesome. Who cares about awards or what anyone else thinks about it?  It's a great value given the feature set it provides, support is very good, this forum is unbelievably helpful and the look, feel and workflow suit my needs. If you agree, buy it. And if you don't, look for something that better suits your needs. :o)

Oh and congratulations on your first post. Welcome to the forum.

Our last record recorded in Sonar hit the billboard top 200... I guess it's not an award though. :-/ I still have never actually met another Sonar user in person, which seems strange since there are plenty of users.

I also think I am the only musician/studio I know (in the Portland "indie" scene) that uses a PC. Everyone is on Mac. I have to always bring my Mac laptop to the studio for file transfers when working with other artists. The sessions are usually in Pro Tools, so I end up just working in Pro Tools more when collaborating/mixing/etc...

I once helped write and play on a No. 1 Billboard, platinum selling, Grammy nominated record...
It was recorded to tape. Transferred to Radar. Moved to protocols and mixed through a Neve console. I guess that's what professional is. Pro Tools, tape and a vintage console.

Does "highend engineer" mean he has long legs?
