I felt the same as you at first but soon was given reasons to use it by Noel-
There were bug fixes as well as Noel stated that they did something to the core that makes it more W10 stable. This must be true as my typical crashing has totally gone away since. So it is worth using.

1. Take a look at your VST directories within X1, and add the missing ones into CbB.

First thing I tried. Some plugins/synths appeared after that, but not the ones I mentioned.

2. Change your CbB theme to Mercury. This will make it look like X1 again.

Yep, also did that. Liked how it looked, but still the dark clip backgrounds. I was also able to import my custom color scheme from X1 and, again, everything but the clip backgrounds worked.

Thanks for your input! Appreciate it.

I do still have X1 installed with V-Vocal. I've seen where other people got V-Vocal working and I did what they did, but no go.

Yes, I do like many things about the new version and will keep an eye on the updates over time.

As I mentioned, I never had many technical glitches with X1. And it's even more stable on Win 10. I will eventually commit to Band Lab, I like most of what I've seen so far, but I can wait a bit longer and see what they have in store in the coming months.

In order to see V-Vocal in CbB at least a minimal install (using the advanced install option) of 64bit X2 Producer or older is necessary.

You will also find some 64bit plug-ins no longer included with CbB.

V-Vocal was licenced from Roland long before ARA existed.
A plugin doesn’t just automatically use ARA it has to be written from the ground up for ARA.

So who re-wrote the V-Vocal code to make it ARA compatible?

Roland certainly didn't because, as you say, it pre-dates it by several years.

Nobody, V-Vocal appears in the Region FX menu because the Region FX menu where the ARA effects are displayed replaced the V-Vocal menu and V-Vocal is a clip based effect like other plug-ins in the Region FX menu.
